The Maple Leaf Festival in October is a regional draw, and there is an operating excursion railroad in the summer. 

You will know your neighbors and others in town and the feeling of separation found in larger communities is absent here. Clubs, churches, teams, civic organizations abound and everybody is welcome.

The Area 

Groceries can be bought in the town. The local hardware store is superb. Excellent automobile repair is local. There are two medical offices in town as well as dentistry and other health care. You can buy a new farm tractor here but not a new car. Commuting to and from town is easy and fast with good roads. 

The area has kept its agricultural, higher education and small community heritage and (so far) has not become another large city with more traffic jams than smiles.
